We are different from "their", "we " I'm sure. L’anomalia vera, però, è rappresentata secondo me dalla figura del sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio dei ministri, che dal secondo governo Berlusconi in avanti vede una curiosa staffetta tra zio Gianni Letta e nipote Enrico Letta, tuttora influenti figure rispettivamente del centro (destra) e del centro (sinistra). Un po’ strana la cosa, non trovate? Insomma, i politici in Italia sono una categoria molto folta (anche troppo), ma pensare che uno zio e un nipote abbiano potuto in questi anni ricoprire (e tuttora ricoprono) cariche così alte nei due differenti schieramenti è cosa che un pochino puzza di bruciato. O che per lo meno dovrebbe farci riflettere, mentre qui si parla solo di Berlusconi. Non è cosa nuova, del resto. Due anni fa sono stato in Mozambico e ho visto infilate di villoni col filo spinato attorno, abitati dai notabili locali, pagati coi fondi occidentali. Alcuni dei nostri volontari, a mezza bocca, dicevano che gli aiuti occidentali sono come la droga e che l'Africa non uscirà dalla povertà finché gli aiuti non smetteranno o perlomeno non cambieranno modalità.
Peraltro ci sono anche strategie più sottili: i cinesi ad esempio non bombardano nessuno. Vanno lì con un pacco di soldi, dicono "mica vorrete collaborare con quei colonialisti degli occidentali? alleiamoci tra noi ex paesi colonizzati", comprano la terra e le risorse disponibili, importano dalla Cina persino gli operai, costruiscono un mondo a parte (una Chinatown solo per loro) e succhiano via quello che possono.
Alla fine la crisi è ovunque, le risorse stanno finendo, nessuno vuole rinunciare a niente... non c'è da stupirsi che, in un mondo allenato all'egocentrismo, gli scrupoli in giro siano sempre di meno.
